One band of lace, on one edge
Every AVELUNEX piece is plain except for one edge. A camisole has its lace across the neckline. A blouse has it on the collar or the cuffs. A slip has it at the hem. Nothing else is trimmed, so the one band of lace is the thing you notice.
Five laces, each with a number
We work with a small set of laces and give each one a number: No.1 Fern, No.2 Scallop, No.3 Pin Dot, No.4 Picot and No.5 Daisy. The same numbered lace is used on our detachable collars, lace socks and hair bows. If you like the fern lace on a cami, you can find it again on a collar, a pair of socks and a bow, and wear one number from your hair to your ankles.
Every product page names its lace, how wide it is, where it sits and what it is made of: our laces are polyamide (nylon), polyester or cotton, and the label sewn into each piece has the final word.
How the pieces are made
The cuts are deliberately simple. Our pieces are made for us by a partner clothing factory from a small set of base patterns — a camisole, a blouse, a slip skirt, a slip dress — in satin, cotton voile, cotton poplin and fine cotton rib. A new fabric and a new lace make a new piece; the fit you know stays the same.
Sizes
Tops, blouses and slips come in UK sizes 6 to 18, with EU 34 to 46 alongside. Cami straps adjust, blouses list their chest and length measurements for every size, and our size guide explains how to measure.
