Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions of sale for the AVELUNEX online shop.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

These terms apply to every order placed on avelunex.shop. Please read them before you order. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Who we are

The shop avelunex.shop is run by AVELUNEX, a sole trader business in the United Kingdom (not a registered company), at 271 Allendale Avenue, Nottingham, NG8 5SD, United Kingdom. Email: support@avelunex.shop, telephone: +44 7857 715420. Full details are on our Legal Information page.

2. Who can buy

Our shop is for consumers aged 18 or over buying for personal use. We deliver only to the countries listed on our Shipping & delivery page.

3. Our products

We describe each piece as accurately as we can, including its lace number, the width and position of the lace, its fabric composition, colour and measurements. Colours can look slightly different on screens. Photos may show other pieces for styling; those are sold separately. Fibre content is confirmed by the label sewn into each piece.

4. Prices and currency

Prices are shown in the currency of the delivery country you choose (GBP, EUR, DKK, SEK, NOK, CHF, USD or CAD), and the order is charged in that currency. The total, including the delivery cost, is shown before you place your order. For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, import VAT, customs duty and carrier fees may be charged by your country on delivery; these are not included in our prices and are paid by the recipient (see Shipping & delivery). If we make an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatch and you may cancel for a full refund.

5. How the contract is made

You choose your pieces, review your bag, enter your details and press “Place order and pay”, which is an order with an obligation to pay. We then send an email acknowledging your order. The contract is made when we email you to confirm dispatch. If we cannot accept your order (for example because a piece has become unavailable), we tell you and do not charge you, or refund you in full. The contract language is English. We store your order and you can see it in the order emails and, if you have one, your account.

6. Payment

Payment is taken when you place your order, using the payment methods shown at checkout. Card details are entered on the secure payment form of our payment provider and are never stored by us. The site uses HTTPS encryption throughout. The charge appears on your statement as AVELUNEX.

7. Delivery

Delivery costs and times are on our Shipping & delivery page and are shown at checkout. Unless agreed otherwise, we deliver within 30 days of the contract. Risk passes to you when you or a person you name receives the goods.

8. Your right to cancel

As a consumer you can cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, as explained on our Returns & refunds page. You can cancel online at Withdraw from contract here, by email or by post. You must send the goods back within 14 days of cancelling and pay the direct cost of returning them, unless they are faulty. We refund the price and the standard delivery cost within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof of return.

9. Faulty goods and your legal rights

We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are in conformity with the contract. In the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days, then the right to a repair or replacement, and then to a price reduction or a refund. Customers in the European Union also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection of their country of residence, including the legal guarantee of at least two years.

10. Promotions

We do not currently run promotions or discount codes. If we do, the conditions will be shown with the offer.

11. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods. We are not liable for business losses, as our products are for personal use.

12. Personal data

We use your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Complaints and disputes

Please contact us first at support@avelunex.shop — we reply within two working days and try to resolve any problem quickly. We do not take part in an alternative dispute resolution scheme and are not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Customers in the EU can get free advice from the European Consumer Centres Network; in the UK, from Citizens Advice.

14. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there. If you live in the EU or another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
